DART (the all-volunteer Disaster Animal Response Team) for Contra Costa will hold its annual training in Moraga in January. The training consists of 5 classroom events (Thursdays from 6:30 - 9:30 pm starting January 20) and a final drill on Saturday February 26 (10 am - 4 pm).
Graduates will become members of DART and will be deployed during disasters. They will set up emergency animal shelters and provide additional rescue and recovery services as needed.
