Saturday, April 23rd - 11-3pm
Come enjoy Lafayette's sixth annual Earth Day Picnic & Celebration. The downtown Plaza Park will again feature a community "Picnic on the Green" with an all organic lunch made by volunteers, from ingredients provided by local farmers. Enjoy a wonderful lunch with friends while listening to a great lineup of live music.
"Backyard of Tomorrow"
Plaza Way will be transformed into Eco Way where you can visit the "Backyard of Tomorrow", talk with local environmental non-profits, learn about green gardening techniques, and have your children play in the "bubble zone".
Bike Safety Rodeo & Self Propelled Parade
(9am - 11:30am)
Take the 15 minute Bike Rodeo Safety course anytime between 9am and 11am on the Stanley Middle School blacktop. It's a fun way for Kinders - 3rd graders to learn bike safety. At 11:30, families will gather at Stanley Middle School and ride up 1st Street in a festive parade route to Lafayette Plaza Park.
