John Montgomery says, "We all deserve a little paradise of our own."  After his daughter was sponsored by AAUW to attend Tech Trek Science & Math Camp, an experience that was dramatic and positive for her, John wanted to give back to Tech Trek.  He offered his annual sponsored garden tour, with five gardens in the Lamorinda area, to AAUW-OML as a fund-raiser to help sponsor more 7th grade girls' attendance at Tech Trek Camp.

Montgomery:  “I believe a landscape is much more than just shrubs, trees, and a patio. It has the power to rejuvenate, inspire, and relax. I create unique private resorts that invite peaceful contemplation as well as lively gatherings. In this busy world, we all deserve our own little paradise.”

John Montgomery, his colleagues, and AAUW docents will be in the gardens to answer questions.  There will be outdoor kitchen cooking demonstrations, live music, urban farming presentations, and light refreshments during your tour of these five glorious gardens.

Make it a great day with friends. Enjoy touring these lovely Lafayette gardens. It's for a great cause!

$25 Ticket - 100% of the proceeds of AAUW ticket sales will send Lamorinda 7th graders to AAUW TECH TREK Science & Math Camp, a week-long residential camp on a California college campus.

*TECH TREK is a project of AAUW CA.  Residential science and math camps are held every summer on eight California college campuses, to encourage middle school girls to embrace their interests in science and math and to continue these studies throughout high school and college.

AAUW-OML has sent 41 Lamorinda 7th grade girls to Tech Trek Camp since 1998.  Candidates must be nominated by their science or math teacher, complete the application process and be interviewed by American Association of University Women.

If you cannot tour the gardens, but would like to help send girls to Tech Trek, send a donation to AAUW-OML, P.O. Box 6705, Moraga, CA 94570-6705.  Make checks payable to AAUW OML, with the memo designation:  Tech Trek.  Thank you for your support.
