The Orinda Arts Council announces its 8th Annual Visual Arts Competition (VAC), open to all high school students residing, or attending schools, in Orinda, Moraga or Lafayette. Categories include 2D, 3D and photography, with cash awards totaling $2,500, merit citations and a public display of entries at the Orinda Library Art Gallery.
The 2011 VAC is sponsored in part by Educational Foundation of Orinda (EFO), Lafayette Partners In Education (LPIE, formerly LASF), Moraga Education Foundation, and Lamorinda Patch. The exhibit runs at the Orinda Library Art Gallery from March 2-March 30 with the Artists and Awards Reception on March 9, 4-6pm.
Online registration is now open and closes at midnight, February 17.
