Sweet Thursday: A Literary Conversation for Dog Lovers!

Bruce Cameron, author of the current NY Times bestseller " A Dog's Purpose " and Steve Winn, author of " Come Back Como " will discuss their love of dogs, the art of writing about them and the challenges of capturing their voices (or barks). In recognition of the fact that October is National Adopt-a-Dog Month, the authors will be accompanied by a couple of therapy dogs from Tony La Russa's ARF.

Cameron is also the author of 8 Simple Rules for Dating My Teenage Daughter which became a hugely successful tv sitcom. A Dog's Purpose is the story of a dog who passes through several lives until it becomes clear why he was put on earth. Steve Winn is an award-winning writer and a former longtime critic for the SF Chronicle. Come Back, Como! is the story of a scruffy shelter dog and his reluctant owner.
