Fatal Crash Reported This Afternoon Near Orinda
CHP is at scene at Old San Pablo Dam Road.

The California Highway Patrol is at the scene of a fatal crash near Orinda this afternoon, according to a CHP spokesman.
The crash was reported at 1:39 p.m. after a Cadillac crashed into a tree in the 500 block of Old San Pablo Dam Road, northwest of Orinda in unincorporated Contra Costa County, CHP Officer John Fransen said.
At least one person died as a result of the crash, although further details were not immediately available.

Contra Costa County coroner’s officials are currently en route to the scene, according to Fransen.
