Lamorinda Law Enforcement Seeking Trio Who Robbed Woman of Handbag in Moraga

The female victim suffered minor injuries in the Monday afternoon incident.

A strong-arm robbery was reported by a female pedestrian on Camino Ricardo at Danefield Place in Moraga shortly after 4 p.m. on Monday.

Moraga Police were called at 4:17 p.m. and spoke to the woman, who said she was walking on the sidewalk when a vehicle pulled up and two suspects got out, accosted her and forcibly removed her over-the-shoulder style purse, which contained cash and personal documents.

The pair fled the area in a black Mercedes with tinted windows, and another man was also in the car, police said.

The suspects were described as black males in their 20s wearing black hoodies, according to police.

The victim, who fell to the ground during the incident, suffered minor abrasions, police said.

No weapons were displayed or observed during the incident.

An extensive area check was conducted by Moraga, Lafayette and Orinda police units, but the suspects were not located.

The Moraga Police Department is actively following leads, including a report of a similar suspicious vehicle seen in the area.
