If you heard a collective groan of disappointment over in Lafayette a couple of days back it's because news that the long-awaited arrival of La Boulange has been delayed until the end of the month.

Folks who have been drooling like Pavlov's dogs for a coffee and French Pastry are starting to look a little wild-eyed, but we are assured the opening is coming and that the Lafayette location will duplicate the successful look and feel of its Danville location - which is already something of a local gathering place.

So hang in there, guys, we're looking at Aug. 30 as a projected first day of business. And be careful, this outfit likes to hook its prospective future patrons with a few free goodies on their first day in town. Check 'em out.
