Moraga Dollar Tree Hearing Tomorrow Night

Some see the proposed addition of a Dollar Tree store at the Rheem Valley Center in Moraga as providing a welcome boost to a retail area marked by vacancy signs. Others see it as a telltale sign of the town's downward spiral.

Whichever side of the debate you fall on, you can watch the Moraga Planning Commission consider the store's request to set up shop in town during a specially called meeting Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. in the Joaquin Moraga Intermediate School auditorium. 

If approved, the Dollar Tree would be located in the space previously occupied by Blockbuster Video, Lori's Perfect Tan and The Beauty Source, at 542 Center Street.
