Multi-Family Housing Proposed For Moraga Road
Investors hope to build 13 multi-family units within two three-story buildings.
LAMORINDA, CA — A group of investors will ask the Lafayette Planning Commission on Monday night to grant them a study session to discuss plans to demolish an existing commercial building at 889 Moraga Road to build 13 multi-family units within two three-story buildings.
A study session is an opportunity for potential applicants to discuss a plan with the planning commission and get feedback on what the groups presents. No formal action is taken at such a session. City staff won't do a detailed analysis on a plan until an application is filed.
The site is on the western side of Moraga Road, near Saint Mary's Road. The developer currently proposes adding two below-market rate units for rental. Access to the parking lot will come from Moraga Road.
