Photo: Armed Robber Wanted In 5 East Bay Cities
Detectives want to stop him before he strikes again.

EAST BAY, CA — Police detectives in Berkeley, Alameda, Albany, Walnut Creek, and San Leandro are asking for help identifying the man pictured above. He is the suspect in armed robberies in all of those communities.
The suspect is described as:
- Black
- aged: 40s - 50s
- 5'5 - 5'8 tall
- thin build
- mustache
- white, stubbly growth on his face
He is wanted for armed robberies committed in October and November.

In Berkeley he is accused of an unsuccessful robbery attempt at a pharmacy on Shattuck Avenue on Oct. 27. At 8:30 p.m. that same evening, police say he entered a restaurant on University Avenue where he demanded the money in the cash register. He took off after getting the contents of the register. The suspect struck again on Nov. 16 at 8:40 p.m. He got away with the cash register contents from a pharmacy on Telegraph Avenue. In all three cases, he fled on foot.
Details of armed robberies in the other cities are not immediately known.
