Volunteers Needed To Interview Lafayette City Manager Finalists

LAMORINDA, CA — The city of Lafayette is seeking five residents to sit on a panel that will interview finalists for the position of city manager in early August.

Volunteers will be separated by area of residence for the four areas of the city, Happy Valley, Reliez Valley, Burton Valley and Acalanes Valley, with one applicant selected at random to represent each area.

After that, one additional person will be chosen on at-large basis from the remaining candidates.

The selection is scheduled for July 29, and city officials plan to stream live video of the process on Facebook.

Anyone interested in applying can do so online at or drop by the city office at 3675 Mount Diablo Blvd.

The required form will also be available at city council meetings on July 8 and July 22.
