Woman Sentenced For Deadly School Crossing Guard Crash: Report

The crash happened near Stanley Middle School​ last September.

LAMORINDA, CA — A Lafayette woman who accidentally killed a school crossing guard last September near Stanley Middle School has been sentenced to community service, according to a report by the Bay Area News Group.

Phyllis Meehan pleaded no-contest to misdemeanor vehicular manslaughter.

Meehan must perform 100 hours of community service. She will also be prohibited from driving for one year.
