Kids' Carpentry

Kids' Carpentry is an enrichment program designed to teach girls and boys in grades K-6, the safe-use of hand tools and general woodworking skills. Through a sequence of projects, young carpenters gain the skill and competence to complete increasingly more complicated projects. From boats to bird feeders, doll furniture, clocks, games, airplanes, and many more. Kids have a wide range of projects to choose from. In addition kids gain quality experiences in measuring, applied math (including fractions), problem-solving, craftsmanship, and empowered by the hands-on experience. Classes are taught with one teacher for every seven or eight students, ensuring careful attention and respect for each child. Each session is 4 days long, classes are an hour and a half with times to choose from. The class times are 9:30am-11:00am, 11:00am-12:30pm and 1:00pm-2:30pm. Please remember pre-registration is required.
