Walking Tour of Larkspur's Historic Downtown

A free walking tour of Larkspur's historic Downtown will trace the story of the town’s growth from the 1860s to the present.

The tour, sponsored by the Heritage Preservation Board, will be led by local historian and Heritage Preservation Board member Richard Cunningham. The two-hour tour will begin at 10 a.m. at the steps of City Hall, 400 Magnolia Avenue (cancelled in case of steady rain).

Downtown Larkspur’s Historic District includes many buildings that date to the 1890s and 1920s, most of them in recognizable form and bearing clues to their original function.  Over that time, several founding families influenced the town’s growth and development.  This tour will trace the families’ histories and the buildings they developed.
