OAKHURST, CA — A 44-year-old man was taken into custody after authorities say they seized thousands of digital files of child sexual abuse material from his California home.

The Madera County Sheriff's Office, along with the Central California Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force, received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children about someone owning material featuring children being sexually abused, authorities said.

The agencies gathered enough probable cause for a warrant and served it at a home located at 50730 Granite Butte Way in Oakhurst, according to the Madera County Sheriff's Office.
