Saturday:
Storyteller and naturalist Ane Carla Rovetta returns to with her original stories featuring local Bay Area wildlife and locales. A skilled illustrator, she will demonstrate how to draw pictures of the animals in her stories, and other tips for aspiring artists. A treat for the whole family.

Sunday: USA vs Japan

The FIFA Women's Soccer World Cup has been on the go since June 26 and now the big moment is here with the game of all games; USA vs. Japan. Come watch this thrilling final on the big screen. Admission includes popcorn, pizza or hot dog, soft drink, and dessert. Beer, wine, slushies & ice cream will also available for purchase. Go Hope Solo!
If you go: Tickets are $15 General, $10 Students (12 and under). Advance tickets are recommended, by calling 415-924-5111. The game starts at 11:45 a.m. at , 549 Magnolia Avenue in Larkspur.
Sunday:
Enjoy big-band favorites from the 30s, 40s, and 50s played by the 17-piece Ray Simpson Band at this Sunday's free concert sponsored by the Corte Madera Community Foundation at Piccolo Pavilion. From swing to jazz, this popular band features arrangements created by Count Basie, Les Brown, Jimmy Lunceford, Duke Ellington, Stan Kenton, and Glenn Miller. Bring a blanket or a camp chair for sitting on the grass, and wrap up your weekend with some really fine music in the little park at the bottom of the hill.
If you go: This free concert is from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Piccolo Pavilion, Tamalpais Drive and Redwood Avenue in Corte Madera.
Saturday and Sunday:
San Anselmo salutes the sounds of the ‘60s and ‘70s when they do the Hippy Hippy Shake at the 28th Annual San Anselmo Art & Wine Festival with 200 fine art booths, a merchant marketplace, wine tasting, food vendors, kids’ zone, and entertainment galore on two stages. The arts booths will feature fine paintings, sculptures and other unique arts and crafts. The Kids’ Zone will include a variety of fun activities for children including: puppet and magic shows, miniature car racing, a train ride, shark slide, rock wall, face painting and much more.
The music line-up will take you back in time with bands playing simultaneously on the Trippin’ Tunstead Stage and the Boppin Bolinas Stage with a line-up guaranteed to make you want to dance. The great line-up includes California Dreamin’, Cream of Clapton, the Sun Kings, Zebop, Revolver, Boptropolis, Cover Grizz, and Savannah Blue. There will be prizes given out throughout the day for the best dancers so pull out your tie-dye or retro best!
If you go: The free is from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on both days in downtown San Anselmo on San Anselmo Avenue between Tamalpais and Bolinas streets.
