is featuring paintings by gallery artists: Phoebe Brunner, Carlos Catasse, William DeBilzan, Jean Jack, Jennifer Li, James Leonard, Susan McDonnell, Lorenzo Moya, Greg Ragland, Daniel Tousignant and Tim Weldon.

If you go: The show continues until August 18th.  The gallery is open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the , 483 Magnolia Avenue in Larkspur.

Join for their summer movie series for families.  Today’s film is Benji the story of a small, lovable stray dog with an uncanny knack for being in the right place at the right time; today he saves two children. Go Benji!

If you go: Tickets are $5, while kids 2 and under are free.  The show  begins at 11 a.m. at the Lark Theater, 549 Magnolia Avenue in Larkspur.

 

Saturday:

The Good Festival is celebrating their fifth anniversary! Over the years, the festival has taken on a life of its own and truly became a community event, organized by the community. This year there will be even more world music, fun games, participatory activities, a wide variety of free foods and desserts and an exploration of better ways to build a strong, sustainable, fun and prosperous community. The great music on two stages includes reggae, world, rock, hip hop, electronic, local artists and more!

If you go: This free event is from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Bolinas Park, 124 Bolinas Road in Fairfax.

 

Sunday:

The Marin Chapter of the San Francisco Opera Guild will hold its annual Champagne GALA Concert with Adler Fellows from the San Francisco Opera Guild performing excerpts from the current opera season in the Music Pavilion at San Domenico School. This is the main fundraiser for the Opera a la Carte program, which brings opera to Marin schools. Teachers and docents receive training from the San Francisco Opera Guild, and principals from SF Opera participate with students in a performance. Other educational opportunities include previews of selected operas from the season such as Turandot, and well-known speakers.

If you go: Tickets are available in advance or at the door for $50 which includes the concert, champagne, and hors d'oeuvres reception with the singers following the program. Call (415) 924-9352 for more information.  The event begins at 2 p.m. at the San Domenico School, 1500 Butterfield Road in San Anselmo.
