Pot Seized In Corte Madera Traffic Stop

Central Marin Police arrested two men after finding 21 pounds of marijuana prepared for shipment during a routine traffic stop this week.

CORTE MADERA, CA – Central Marin Police arrested two men after finding 21 pounds of marijuana prepared for shipment during a routine traffic stop this week.

George Christodoulou, 20, of Whitestone, New York, and Addison Tamura, 19, of Little Neck, New York, were booked into Marin County Jail on felony cannabis trafficking charges, according to the Central Marin Police Authority. Bail was set at $15,000 each.

Police officer Jared Boss pulled the suspects over for speeding at about 1 p.m. Monday on Pixley Avenue in Corte Madera.

Five cardboard boxes containing vacuum-sealed bags of cultivated marijuana were seized, authorities said. Police said the parcels had U.S. Postal Service shipping labels and were ready to be mailed to various addresses in New York state.

Marin County Major Crimes Task Force helped obtain search warrants, as well as located and collected additional evidence, according to the Central Marin Police Authority.

Police said the investigation is ongoing and more charges may be filed.
