Ashley Judd presents her memoir All That Is Bitter and Sweet. Ashley Judd is an award-winning film and stage actor known for her roles in both box-office hits and art-house gems, and the daughter and sister of country-music royalty. Now, in this deeply moving memoir, Judd describes her odyssey, as a left-behind lost child attains international prominence as a fiercely dedicated advocate. At the Book Passage, 51 Tamal Vista Blvd., Corte Madera. 7 - 8 p.m.

Jackie Greene has been hailed as the new boy wonder of the Americana/Roots Rock scene since he released his first Album in 2002. His roots twist to create a unique sound, combining the introspection of an engaging songwriter with the energy of a chemically charged rock band. With a stream-of-consciousness vibe, many of Greene's songs reflect a certain spontaneity, traveling quickly from inspiration to album to fan. Whether it's a soulful ballad or a ballsy rocker, you can count on breathtaking melody and poetic lyricism. At the Palm Ballroom, 100 Yacht Club Dr., San Rafael, 9 p.m.
