48 Hour Film Project | Registration Open

The 10th Annual 48 Hour Film Project returns to San Diego on the weekend of July 12 - 14, 2013. Amateur, novice and professional filmmakers from all over Southern California and Mexico will compete to see who can make the best short film in only 48 hours. The Project is a wild and sleepless weekend in which all writing, shooting, editing and scoring must be completed in just 48 hours. The winning San Diego film will go up against films from around the world for the title "Best 48 Hour Film of 2013". Winning films are also eligible to be screened at the Cannes Film Festival.

On Friday, July 12th, after drawing a random film genre, registered film teams are assigned a character, a prop, and a line of dialogue that must be included in their film. Within 48 hours teams must submit their 4-7 minute masterpieces, which will enjoy a red carpet public premiere at a local theater in August.

Those interested in participating in The 48 Hour Film Project may register at, http://www.48hourfilm.com/sandiego.
