Art a la Carte Showcases Alexander Salazar at Aventine on Sunday, July 7

The Aventine and ArtWalk
San Diego
are taking
the pop-up experience to a new level with the July installment of Art a la
Carte, which will transform into a one-time special event exclusively showcasing
the works of art critic, collector and celebrated art dealer Alexander
Salazar
. Taking
place Sunday, July 7 from 5 to 8 p.m., this alfresco evening invites foodies
and art aficionados to enjoy visual and culinary feasts in the Aventine’s
“restaurant row” as well as its four acclaimed restaurants.



Guests
are invited to freely peruse an intriguing display of contemporary art courtesy
of Alexander Salazar. Featured artwork will include Jarod
Farver
’s vibrant
color combinations, Lindsey Nobel’s vivid drawings and
photography, the dreamlike concepts of Qais Al Sindy and more.



Aventine’s
four restaurants, including Fleming’s Prime
Steakhouse & Wine Bar
, Truluck’s
Seafood, Steak & Crab House
, The Melting Pot and Cafe Japengo,
will nurture this extraordinary show with social hours all night long.
Attendees can people watch from the bars and patios of each restaurant while
indulging in happy hour pricing on refreshing summer drinks as well as
award-winning sushi, Baja-style ceviche, pan crisped pork belly, a variety of
fondues and countless other menu items.

Art a la
Carte is an all ages, complimentary monthly series bringing San Diego’s
artistic and culinary scenes together at the Aventine every first Sunday of the
month throughout the summer. The pop-up series
is produced in partnership with ArtWalk San Diego, producer of San Diego’s original
fine art festivals, including ArtWalk @NTC Liberty Station and Mission Federal
ArtWalk.

known as ArtWalk on the Bay, ArtWalk @NTC takes place in a stunning park
setting at NTC Liberty Station in late August. The festival celebrates both
visual and performing arts in the historic and lovely setting of NTC's Ingram
Plaza. More than 160 visual artists, a full musical performance lineup and art

29th year in 2013, Mission Federal ArtWalk is Southern California's largest
fine art festival and takes place in April. With its backdrop of San Diego's
