Guard Questions Woman's Immigration Status In Target Lot: Video
"You're illegally here and you're having babies and you're probably on welfare," the security guard says in front of a Target in San Diego.

SAN DIEGO, CA – A video showing a security guard questioning a mother's immigration status in the parking lot of a San Diego-area Target has left some people outraged on social media.
The woman, seen holding a baby in the parking lot, was reportedly asking people for money. The security guard calls the panhandling a "scam" and claims she has a new car and a condo. He tells her to "get a job" and questions her immigration status.
"You're illegally here and you're having babies and you're probably on welfare," the unidentified security guard says in the video posted Nov. 9 on Facebook.

The incident reportedly took place at the Target located in the Marketplace at the Grove Shopping Center in San Diego.
"She comes here and she doesn't leave," the security guard says.

"It's a scam they're running."
The video also shows an unidentified bystander confronting the security guard.
"This is a security guard; he is not a policeman," she says. "Ignore him and walk away. You leave those people alone!"
A woman named Sonia Serrano Zavala posted the video. She can also be heard arguing with the security guard and sticking up for the woman.
By 2 p.m. Monday, the post had 4,300 reactions and 16,227 shares on Facebook.
Target has not yet responded to Patch.
