Juvenile Justice Commission Honors Community Employees, And Organizations Awards Luncheon at USD, Joan Kroc Center For Peace Studies set for Thursday, July 18th, 2013 at noon

San Diego, California: The Juvenile Justice Commission will honor community advocates from juvenile probation, child welfare services, education, law enforcement, juvenile court, judges and volunteers from all affiliated services, as well as private organizations. This awards luncheon is held to honor employees and volunteers who have personified excellence and performance above and beyond the call of duty and job description in order to improve the lives of our dependent and delinquent youth.  

The awards luncheon will be held at the University of San Diego (USD) Joan Kroc Center for Peace Studies on July 18th at noon. The keynote speaker is Josh Morse, Associated Student Body President at San Diego State University. Mr. Morse had a difficult start to his life, was homeless for long periods of time, and will share his story from his homeless days to now being student president for a campus of more than 40,000 students.

The awards luncheon is held to honor employees and volunteers who have personified excellence and performance above and beyond the call of duty and job description in order to improve the lives of our dependent and delinquent youth.  Judges, educators, police, social workers, and others, will represent the commitment their organizations have to the Juvenile Justice system. The awards luncheon also honors young adults who now lead productive lives as mentors.

The awards luncheon hosts San Diego dignitaries, policy makers and newsmakers. More than 200 people, educators, elected officials, law enforcement, probation, social service agencies and community members, attended the awards luncheon last year.

Those who want to attend the awards luncheon may register by Thursday, July 11th. Tickets for the event may be purchased at a cost of $20 per person. Tables of eight can also be purchased for $140. 

The awards luncheon is sponsored by The Children’s Advocacy Institute at the University of San Diego (USD).
