• Lemon Grove City Council Public Hearing – OCTOBER 20, 2026 (ca.gov) — Lemon Grove residents are invited to a key City Council public hearing on October 20 about adopting a new Downtown Specific Plan and related zoning and General Plan changes. The meeting starts at 6 p.m. at Lemon Grove Academy Middle School, and you can review documents or share your comments in person or by email beforehand. 
• Community Heroes Honored at 24th Annual Real Heroes Awards (redcross.org) — A Lemon Grove sheriff's deputy, José Almaraz Macias, has been honored as First Responder Hero for saving a stabbing victim's life with quick tourniquet work and scene control. His recognition came at the American Red Cross Real Heroes Awards in San Diego, which celebrated several local lifesavers and raised significant support for regional emergency services.
