This Thursday is the big Red Shoe Day fundraiser for Ronald McDonald House Charities of San Diego! More than 1,000 volunteers will be stationed at major intersections during the morning commute (6:30 – 9:30 a.m.). Sporting bright yellow T-shirts, toting signs and hollering for donations, volunteers will gladly accept your spare change or dollar bills – all going back to support our local Ronald McDonald House.
More than 12,500 family members visit San Diego’s Ronald McDonald House each year to receive meals, lodging and other supportive services while their child is being treated at a nearby hospital. The safe haven provided by the facility enables families suffering medical crises to focus their energy on helping their sick or injured child heal. Money raised during Red Shoe Day will help make a difference in the lives of these families.
