100 Residents Gathered For Tri-Valley Immigration Forum

Organizers said the forum was intended to discuss immigration policy.

LIVERMORE, CA — About 100 residents gathered at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Livermore for an immigration forum on Sunday afternoon. Organizers said the forum was intended to educate the community about a “broken immigration policy and to keep pressure on the administration to reunite all the families separated.”

The event was hosted by the Livermore Indivisible Immigration Group and OFA East Bay Central Chapter, and co-sponsored by La Familia and St Charles Catholic Church Social Concerns.

The panel of speakers included: Political Director Lourdes Martinez, Mujeres Unidas y Activas (MUA), Anne Carrabino, co-founder and lead consultant of the East Oakland Youth Alliance, Guadalupe Barratino, La Familia y Cultera y Bienestar, and Lilia Lara, a volunteer for the National Center of Missing and Exploited Children.
