Arroyo Trail Shooting Suspect Still At Large: Police

The Livermore transient is known to have associates in San Leandro, San Lorenzo and Oakland. Police are looking for him.

LIVERMORE, CA — Investigators are still trying to locate a 19-year-old man in connection with last week's shooting on the Arroyo Trail in Livermore. Transient Raul Bonnie Alcala, who is believed to be armed and dangerous, is also wanted on a felony robbery warrant for an unrelated case out of the San Leandro. Police officials seek the public’s assistance finding Alcala.

The shooting was reported in the 1000 block of Murrieta Boulevard at about 1:15 p.m. on Aug. 2. Two days later, police arrested 18-year-old Fernando Cruz-Armenta for attempted homicide after he was identified as one of two male suspects from the trail shooting. The victim, who was taken to a local hospital, has since been upgraded to fair condition. His identity has not been released.
