BREAKING: Police Arrest Suspect in Arroyo Trail Shooting

Police have identified a second person of interest in the case, who is believed to be armed and dangerous.

LIVERMORE, CA — Livermore Police investigators have arrested a suspect who they believe was involved in the Arroyo Trail shooting Tuesday afternoon that left one man hospitalized.

According to Livermore Police, 18-year-old Fernando Cruz-Armenta was arrested for attempted homicide after he was identified as one of two male suspects from the trail shooting. Raul Bonnie Alcala, 19, has been identified as a person of interest in the investigation. Police say Alcala is wanted on a felony robbery warrant for an unrelated case out of the San Leandro. Police officials seek the public’s assistance finding Alcala.

The shooting was reported in the 1000 block of Murrieta Boulevard at about 1:15 p.m. Tuesday. The victim, who was taken to a local hospital, has been upgraded to fair condition. His identity has not been released.
