Citizen's Tip Leads To 2 Arrests For Car Break-In
From a distance, the caller watched the crime unfold and provided updates to dispatch until Livermore police arrived, officials said.

LIVERMORE, CA – Two suspects were arrested Saturday afternoon after a citizen called to report a vehicular burglary in progress in Livermore.
"About 3:30 p.m., a citizen called 911 to report they were watching a vehicle burglary in progress. The citizen watched from a distance and did not try to intervene," according to the Livermore Police Department.
The caller watched as the suspects got into a car, then followed the vehicle from a distance while providing updates to the dispatch center, the agency said.

Two nearby Livermore officers saw the suspects' vehicle moving southbound on Isabel Avenue and conducted a high-risk traffic stop at Isabel, south of Stanley Boulevard, police said.
The two were booked on the alleged theft charges, plus numerous warrants, into the Santa Rita Jail in Dublin, and officers located the victim and returned the stolen property, the department said.

"Special thanks to the citizen who witnessed the crime, watched from a distance and provided all the detailed information that assisted officers in apprehending the suspects," police said.
