Firefighters Battle 3-Acre Fire In South Livermore Monday
Firefighters stopped the fire from spreading to three nearby buildings. The fire comes on the heels of a Friday fire in Sunol.
LIVERMORE, CA — Firefighters battled a 3.5-acre vegetation fire Monday in south Livermore.
The Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department reported the fire at 10:45 a.m. near 3950 Arroyo Road. The fire burned on property owned privately and by the Livermore Area Recreation and Park District, south of the Veteran's Administration site, LPFD said in a news release.
No injuries were reported and no buildings were damaged, though three were threatened as the blaze tore through through piles of vegetation and debris, LPFD said.

The cause is undetermined, but firefighters said they believe it was started at or near an access road.
Crews remained on scene in the afternoon to finish extinguishing remnants of the fire.

Alameda County Fire, Cal Fire and Camp Parks firefighters assisted in extinguishing the fire.
On Friday, crews battled a two- to five-acre vegetation fire reported around 8 a.m. Friday in Sunol.
LPFD reminds the public that residents are in the midst of fire season and should prepare a "go bag" of critical supplies readily available in the event of an emergency. Homeowners should keep 100 feet of vegetation clearance around buildings.
