‘Frightmare Home Haunt’ in Livermore Benefits Local Food Bank

Thrill seekers are encouraged to bring canned goods to donate when visiting the haunted house.

LIVERMORE, CA — Adrenaline junkies can get their fear fix while also giving back to the community when they visit the Frightmare Home Haunt in Livermore. The haunted house will open on Oct. 28 and 29 between 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. Those who attended are encouraged to bring canned food to donate to the Open Heart Kitchen, which helps feed those in need in the Tri-Valley.

Proprietors said a special ‘Lights on Tour’ is scheduled for those who are scared of things that go bump in the night.

“During the ‘Lights on Tour’ all monsters will be sleeping and will not be scaring anyone that comes through,” Frightmare spooks told Patch.

The "Lights on Tour" is Oct. 29 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

“Frightmare the home of old man Fright. A man so obsessed with extending his life, he turned to sinister means. Using wicked experiments with the dark arts, he learned that through the death of others, he could live. Unfortunately for him, this did not stop Death from sending reapers to collect his soul. Through his mastery of black magic, Old Man Fright managed to capture those reapers, until one day, Death himself came for the old man. At least that is the legend..”
