Helmet Camera Shows Firefighters Battling Flames In House Fire
The dramatic video shows how challenging it can be to get through the smoke to the flames in an unfamiliar home at night.

LIVERMORE, CA — A video recently posted on Instagram shows how intense and dangerous a house fire can be for residents and firefighters. The dramatic footage came from the helmet of a Livermore-Pleasanton firefighter as he pushed inside a Livermore home in the 900 block of Mocho Street. Firefighters are heavily laden with about 80 pounds of gear while also hauling tools and water hoses inside buildings to fight fires.
Fire officials said the home was unoccupied at when the blaze broke out at 3 a.m. Two firefighters were injured battling the one-alarm fire. They were treated for minor steam burns at Stanford ValleyCare Medical Center.
The home sustained major smoke, fire and water damage, according to fire officials.
