High Winds Prompt Traffic Advisory On I-580: CHP
Some flooding has been reported in Tri-Valley and another landslide has closed Niles Canyon. Drivers are urged to use caution.
LIVERMORE, CA — The California Highway Patrol issued a traffic advisory Monday afternoon for Interstate 580 between S. Vasco and Grant Line roads near the Altamont Pass. Gusty winds are affecting all the lanes of traffic in both directions. Drivers are urged to use caution.
Flooding has been reported in several locations in Tri-Valley including: northbound Interstate 680 just south of State Route 84, westbound Interstate 580 just east of N. Flynn Road and westbound Interstate 580 to northbound Interstate 680.
Niles Canyon Road has been closed again this afternoon due to boulders in the road.
