Livermore Bowling Alley Shooting Suspect Arrested: LPD
Livermore police arrested Roger Aleman Garcia, a 27-year-old wanted in connection to a fatal shooting at the Granada Bowl.
LIVERMORE, CA — Livermore police arrested a 27-year-old wanted in connection with a triple shooting that took place Saturday at the Granada Bowl bowling alley.
Livermore detectives arrested Roger Aleman Garcia at a home in Lathrop at around 1:30 a.m. Wednesday, the Livermore Police Department said in a statement released just after 10 a.m.
The LPD, with assistance from the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Department SWAT team and Lathrop police, issued a search warrant at the home.

Garcia was arrested without incident and charged with murder and several other charges, the department said. He is in custody at Santa Rita Jail.
Garcia was named Monday as a suspect for a triple shooting that took place at a crowded Livermore bowling alley Saturday evening. Police said he had an “extensive” criminal history and was prohibited from owning a firearm.

Witnesses and police said that an argument and physical altercation broke out between four men in their 20s, and then a man pulled out a handgun and fired several rounds before fleeing.
One man, confirmed Sunday as 28-year-old Antonio de Vargas, was killed in the shooting. Two other men whose identities have not been released are in the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, LPD said.
The Granada Bowl closed for the rest of the weekend and reopened Monday afternoon with shortened hours and canceled events.
“We want to thank the community for their support and assurance with the investigation,” Livermore Police Chief Jeramy Young said in a statement. “From the beginning, our team has worked tirelessly to find the suspect and bring justice to the victim’s family. This level of violence is uncharacteristic of Livermore and we want residents to be rest assured that this violent criminal is off the streets.”
Livermore police said Saturday’s events mark the city’s second homicide of 2022.
