Livermore Man Faces Trial After Police Pursuit, Prosecutors Say

The driver is accused of running red lights, and driving on the wrong side of the road and highway, The San Mateo Daily Journal reported.

LIVERMORE, CA — A Livermore man charged with ignoring an officer's commands to stop and leading a dangerous pursuit is facing a July 6 jury trial date after jurors deadlocked and a mistrial was declared in his case, The San Mateo Daily Journal reported.

Prosecutors say a South San Francisco police officer tried to pull over Daniel McLaughlin, 36, was for driving without a front license plate, but McLaughlin instead ran red lights and drove on the wrong side of a divided road and northbound Highway 101, the paper reported. Jurors deadlocked in May.
