Livermore Wine Country Downtown Street Festival: Road Closures

Drivers should expect traffic delays this weekend. It is free to attend the festival.

LIVERMORE, CA — The 2018 Livermore Wine Country Downtown Street Fest takes place this weekend and police officials want to remind the community to be prepared for possible traffic delays. The popular festival runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on May 19 and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on May 20. More than 150,000 people attended the festival last year, according to county officials.

Street closures for the festival will begin at 2 a.m. on Saturday and run through Sunday evening. All of the streets within the festival area will be posted "No Parking" and any vehicles parked on those roadways may be subject to being towed. Handicap parking will be located on S. K Street between Second and Third streets. Drivers are encouraged to use public transportation or use a car service.

  • First Street from S. O Street to Maple Street
  • Second Street from S. M Street to S. Livermore Avenue
  • Livermore Avenue from Second Street to Railroad Avenue

Bike parking:

Alameda County Supervisor Scott Haggerty, the Bay Air Quality Management District and Bike East Bay are co-sponsoring a free bike valet service during the festival.

"The valet service is equipped to accommodate 300 bicycles at a single time," Haggerty's office said in a statement.

The bike valet, will be located at the intersection of South Livermore and 2nd Street, and will be available from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. Additional information about the festival can be found here.
