Livermore Animal Control Finds Lost Dog at Altamont Creek School
Bitty was missing from the area of Owl Way and has been taken to a local shelter, according to police officials.

A Livermore resident and dog owner who was pleading for the public’s help finding her missing Pit bull has been reunited with her pet. Cindy Smith contacted Patch after Bitty, last seen on April 22 on Owl Way in Livermore, had not been found.
“Bitty is a 7 year old chocolate-colored Pit bull that went missing Wednesday, April 22,” Smith told Patch via Facebook.
Officer Traci Rebiejo told Patch Thursday morning that Bitty was found safe on Wednesday by officers.

Livermore Police posted the following update on their Facebook page this morning:
“Yesterday, at 12:40 p.m., Livermore Police Department’s Animal Control Officer (AC) found Bitty happily running around at Altamont Creek School.

“Bitty did not have a collar, dog tags, or a micro chip, so AC was not able to return the dog home.
“The owner has been notified that Bitty is safely waiting to be picked up at East County Animal Shelter located at 4595 Gleason Dr, in Dublin. They are open 11:30AM - 5:30PM - 7 Days a week, Closed Holidays.
“LPD wishes to remind pet owners to make sure that pets are tagged by a dog tag and/or a micro chip.”
