Meet Livermore Police Department's Newest Officers
"I've always liked what police officers represent," said rookie Andrew Walker.

LIVERMORE, CA: Livermore Police welcomed two new officers to their force last week. Officers Andrew Walker and Stephanie Morris graduated from the Alameda County Sheriff's Department Police Academy on March 15, according to officials.
Police officials said both employees are new to law enforcement. Officer Andrew Walker is the first in his family to don a badge.
“I am very excited to be a Livermore police officer,” Walker said. “I have no previous experience as a police officer but I am confident in Livermore's field training program. Before this, I was a coach and regional competitor out of CrossFit Lodi. I attended Panhandle State in Oklahoma on a full D2 football scholarship. I knew I wanted to be a police officer at a young age. Robocop was my first video game hero. I've always liked what police officers represent. I am the first police officer in my family.”

Stephanie Morris has worked for the city as a Special Projects Coordinator since 2007.
“I’m very excited to be a part of Livermore Police Department,” Morris said. “I’m looking forward to being on the street and helping to keep Livermore safe. I have worked for the station for around 9 years already in a civilian position and knew from the first year that I wanted to be an officer. I saw the work they did and the difference they made in the community and I wanted to help make a difference as well.”
