No One Injured in Livermore Mobile Home Fire, Home a 'Total Loss'

Fire officials believe the fire started in the kitchen.

One person was displaced after a fire burned a mobile home in Livermore Sunday afternoon, according to fire officials. Fire crews from the Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department, along with the Alameda County Fire Department, responded to a report of a structure fire in the 1800 block of Montecito Circle at 4 p.m.

No one was inside the home at the time and fire officials said firefighters brought the blaze under control by 5 p.m. Fire officials said mobile homes on either side of the burning home sustained minor damage to their exteriors. The home where the fire started was a total loss, however, fire officials said. Fire officials estimated the damage to be around $135,000.

No injuries were reported. Fire officials said the fire started in the kitchen and the exact cause is under investigation. The lone occupant was able to find housing with family, according to fire officials.
