• 925 GIVES: Daylong donation drive benefits Tri-Valley nonprofits, including our own Embarcadero Media Foundation (livermorevine.com) — Tri-Valley residents, including those in Livermore, are being urged to support local nonprofits today through the 925 GIVES campaign, which includes matching funds for donations to the Embarcadero Media Foundation's East Bay journalism. The drive features prize challenges, a Dolly Parton–themed contest window, and a flexible giving period aimed at strengthening community services and youth leadership programs across the region.
   

• LLNL engineer honored with inaugural University of California Regents Innovation Award (llnl.gov) — A Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory engineer has earned a prestigious inaugural UC Regents Innovation Award for lifetime achievement in breakthrough materials and advanced manufacturing. His work at LLNL's Advanced Manufacturing Laboratory in the Livermore Valley Open Campus has produced dozens of patented technologies, including ultra-strong, lightweight materials that are influencing research and applications far beyond the lab.
