LIVERMORE, CA — A car crashed into a home in the 1200 block of Heather Lane just before 10 p.m. Friday night. Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department crews and Livermore police responded to investigate.

The driver, who allegedly appeared to be intoxicated, thought he had reached his home and missed the driveway entrance, which caused him to hit the house, according to police. Police said the driver, whose name has not yet been released, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol. No one was injured during the incident.

Police in Livermore and across the state are deploying DUI saturation patrols through Labor Day in an effort to reduce the number of drug and alcohol-related collisions, deaths and injuries.
