VillaSport Athletic Club And Spa Coming To Livermore

The San Rafael-based luxury athletic club and spa will be built near the San Francisco Premium Outlets.

LIVERMORE, CA — A luxury athletic club and spa will soon be built in Livermore. The San Rafael-based VillaSport Athletic Club and Spa will be located near the El Charro exit close to the San Francisco Premium Outlets, according to the company.

VillaSport, which is a family-owned business, will start offering memberships for purchase roughly six months before the facility opens. The club, which will have a lounge and cafes, will offer fitness classes, pools, fitness center, tennis and basketball courts and a spa. The spa will offer waxing services, massage, and facials. Kids will enjoy arts and crafts and age-appropriate play areas. This facility will have two massive water slides.

VillaSport will be the first location in the East Bay and will provide about 25 jobs, according to a statement released by the business. The company did not have an estimate on when the business would open.

In nearby Pleasanton, a new craft beer eatery recently opened in Pleasanton. Bottle Taps serves beer, wine and small bites. The menu features tapas, appetizers, salads, and more substantial fare for those with bigger appetites. They offer cider tasting for the kids.

A new bistro-style restaurant will be opening in Livermore in 2018. Range Life, which will be in the located in the building formerly occupied by Charlotte's Web, will feature season menu items, craft cocktails, and bakery items.

Total Wine & More celebrated its grand opening in Pleasanton on October 26, 2017 with free giveaways, live music and tastings. The independent alcohol purveyor donated ten percent of all the wine sales made during grand opening weekend to the Museum on Main in Pleasanton. Total Wine & More is located at 4225 Rosewood Drive in Pleasanton. A second location is open in San Ramon. Visit them at 3161 Crow Canyon Place.

In September, a wine bar with a unique theme opened in Danville. The Auburn Lounge wine bar replaced the AuburnJames Winery Tasting Room on Hartz Avenue. The wine bar, which is under new ownership and management, was completely rebranded and recently debuted with a fun 1930s-themed speakeasy style.

In nearby Dublin, a new restaurant and gastropub opened in August. Owned by Tri-Valley residents John and Jenny Samples, Inc 82 Brewing's branding concept was inspired by the year Dublin was incorporated- 1982. The restaurant features local microbrews and its own label.
