Visit the World of Ice and Fire on Halloween Eve

A Neighborhood builds Halloween magic for adults and kids alike in Livermore

If you are one of those who are having Westeros withdrawals waiting for Season 7 of the Game of Thrones HBO program, come to this Livermore neighborhood to visit the Iron Throne on Halloween eve. Even if you are not a Seven Kingdoms fan, on Halloween you can enjoy visiting with the Mother of Dragons with her three “babies” here in the Tri-Valley. One neighborhood in Livermore, California has been promoting Halloween magic for 17 years. For 2016 the Seven Kingdoms will delight fans and be a fun escape for adults and kids to experience. The creative genius behind years of Halloween excitement, John Staton, works as a Mechanical Engineer in Silicon Valley during the week and has joined forces again with neighbors, Kevin and Lisa Gemberling, to create a haunting experience with animatronic dragons, a Hall of Faces, the Knight’s watch wall of ice and photo opportunities with Daenerys beloved dragon “Drogon”. Staton and Gemberling families have put together a vivid sound and sensory experience for trick-or-treaters the length of two houses.

Daenerys Targaryen (aka the Mother of Dragons), Cersie Lannister and the Men of the Knights Watch will be present at the Livermore Halloween extravaganza, handing out treats, taming the dragons, and of course sitting on the Iron Throne itself. Please come on over to Winding Stream Drive … rule the seven kingdoms and revel in taking the throne for yourself! Candy and camaraderie awaits those who join the cast and characters of Westeros this Halloween eve. Please note the following details:

· Attendance at the neighborhood has grown over the years, prompting the neighborhood to get a permit from the City of Livermore to close the street to traffic for safety reasons. Many of the houses on Winding Stream Drive decorate up big during the Halloween season. Please drive safely.

· The Staton house has become an annual community event for Livermore residents and friends across Alameda, Santa Clara and Contra Costa County. The main visionary is John Staton, a Mechanical Engineer who works in the Silicon Valley with the help of Kevin and Lisa Gemberling, Jeremy Travis, Dave Warner, Bruce Anderson, Nile Light, Bob Martin and too many other contributors to mention. Neighbors not only have donated time but also cash, gift cards to Home Depot and candy to keep the event going year after year.

Call John on his cell to hear more about his creation. Great story or photo opportunity to display for Halloween Spirit in the Bay area. Display will be open Sunday evening, however candy will be distributed only Halloween Eve from approximately 6pm to 10pm.
