Update: Woman, Baby Girl Killed in Alleged DUI Crash in Livermore
In addition to the two killed, two kids were transported to the hospital after a vehicle slammed into the rear of an apartment complex.

A woman and baby were killed Saturday evening when a suspected DUI driver crashed into an apartment building in Livermore, according to police.
A 40-year-old woman and a 14-month-old girl who had been in the backyard were killed in the crash. They were both pronounced dead at the scene. Two boys, ages 6 and 7, were transported to a hospital in stable condition, police said in a statement.

The crash took place at 975 Murrieta Blvd. just before 7 p.m.
The 35-year-old driver was arrested on suspicion of gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated. His name has not been released.
The names of the victims have not yet been released pending notification of relatives.
Livermore residents reacted quickly on social media, posting their own photos and expressing deep sadness at the loss.
Cristina Rodz wrote on Facebook, “My heart breaks. May God bless the victims and the injured.”
Janel Taylor added, “No one should ever drink & drive!! There are way too many options out there. So very sad for this inexcusable loss!!!”
Many drove past the crash. Jennifer Grzybicki Advincula wrote, “So sad. Two innocent people killed and the driver lives - woman and baby probably were in the yard enjoying the weather when this happened. Driving by and seeing the wreckage and the Coroner’s van, I thought for sure it was the driver who didn’t make it. Absolutely heartbreaking. Prayers for the families.”
And finally this from Dillon Burruss, “I was in the ER when the devastated father came in crying I feel so bad. My prayers go out to him and his family.”
Police are asking for witnesses to call the department at 925-371- 4777.
