3 Pounds Of Narcotics, Multiple Ghost Guns Seized In Long Beach Arrest

The Long Beach Police Department seized six guns, three pounds of narcotics and a large sum of cash after arresting a man on Tuesday.

LONG BEACH, CA — The Long Beach Police Department seized six guns, three pounds of narcotics and a large sum of cash after arresting a man on Tuesday, officials announced Wednesday.

LBPD officers served a search warrant at a home in the 2100 block of Williams Street in West Long Beach because detectives believed there was a person in possession of prohibited firearms.

"Upon their arrival, officers immediately located and detained the suspect," the LBPD said in a statement.

Officers continued to search the house, where they said they found three assault rifles, including an unserialized fully automatic AR-15, two handguns, one of which was a ghost gun, one shotgun three pounds of unspecified drugs and cash according to authorities.

The suspect, who was identified as 47-year-old Long Beach resident Kirk Collins, was arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance while armed with a loaded weapon, prohibited possessor in possession of a firearm, prohibited possessor in possession of ammunition and possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, LBPD said.

Bail was set at $50,000 according to police.
