Passenger Jumps Overboard From Long Beach-Bound Cruise Ship (patch.com) — Long Beach–area travelers are watching closely as U.S. and Mexican authorities search for a 56-year-old man who went overboard from the Carnival Panorama while it was sailing back to Long Beach from Mexico. The case, which echoes a 2021 overboard incident on another Long Beach-based Carnival ship, highlights how rare such events are and how difficult successful rescues can be despite modern safety technology.
3. 80-Year-Old Woman With Cognitive Impairment Missing In Long Beach (patch.com) — Long Beach residents are being asked to help locate 80-year-old Yanlin Gao, who has cognitive impairment and was last seen Sunday afternoon near the 4600 block of Los Coyotes Diagonal. 4. Man Killed After Being Struck By 3 Vehicles In Long Beach Identified (patch.com) — Long Beach police have identified the pedestrian killed after being hit by three vehicles on Pacific Avenue as 65-year-old Juvenal Banderas.
