Jewish Long Beach and West Orange County Celebrates Israel at 75

Join Jewish Long Beach & Alpert Jewish Community Center (AJCC) for a celebration of Israel’s 75th birthday from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Sunday, August 20, 2023.
“To celebrate Israel’s declaration as an independent state, we invite the community to celebrate with us,” said Deborah Goldfarb, CEO of Jewish Long Beach. “We are transforming the Alpert Jewish Community Center into an immersive experience of Israeli culture, with some modern festival attractions.”
Festival attendees can explore, taste, and discover Israel’s different regions across the facility with activities for all ages, including shopping local vendors like coffee from Spruce Juices and The Blessed Braid kosher bakery at the shuk (marketplace), food trucks like Falafel Food Truck and Scooter’s Italian Ice, Israeli dance, face painting, swimming, dunk tank, a glow dance party, and more. For the younger set, the AJCC has a splash pad, bouncers, and hula hoops with Aerial Butterflies. Adults can also enjoy Israeli wine tasting and educational lectures.

Tickets purchased in advance are $5 kids, $10 adults, $15 drink wristband (for alcohol and wine tasting) and go up at the door on August 20 to $10 kids, $15 adults, $20 drink wristband (for alcohol). Get tickets at alpertjcc.org/IsraelFest or in the Alpert JCC app. If purchasing at the door, please bring photo ID
