LBPD Searches For Killer Of Man Shot In Gas Station Parking Lot
A man was shot and killed in a Valero parking lot in North Long Beach Tuesday night, LBPD said.

LONG BEACH, CA — Long Beach Police Wednesday sought a man who is suspected of shooting and killing a man in a Valero parking lot Tuesday night.
According to the Long Beach Police Department, officers received a report of a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds in the 6900 block of Atlantic Avenue. When officers arrived, they found the man lying in the parking lot of a local gas station.
"Upon arrival, officers located an unresponsive male adult victim in the parking lot of a local business, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds," LBPD said in a statement.

LBPD officers rendered medical aid until Fire Department paramedics arrived and transported the victim to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead, according to authorities.
Preliminary investigation results revealed that the victim confronted the suspect in the gas station parking lot.

"During the confrontation, the suspect shot the victim and fled the scene in a vehicle prior to officers' arrival," LBPD said.
Detectives said the motive for the shooting remains under investigation, and the victim's identity is unknown.
