Long Beach Substitute Teacher And Coach Arrested On Child Porn Charge

Detectives are seeking additional potential victims of a man accused of contacting a minor for sexual misconduct and related charges.

LOS ANGELES, CA — A man who worked with children as a football coach and substitute teacher in Los Angeles and Long Beach was arrested on suspicion of contact with a minor for sexual misconduct and distributing child pornography, police said Tuesday. Now, Los Angeles police Detectives are calling for potential additional victims to come forward.

Police arrested David Vernon Prince Jr., 28, Saturday. He faces charges of contacting a minor for a sexual offense, distributing or showing pornography to a minor, and possession of child or youth pornography. His bail was set at $45,000.

According to the LAPD, Prince worked at schools in Long Beach and Los Angeles as a substitute teacher and as an assistant football coach.

"Investigators identified one minor victim within the City of Los Angeles. It is believed that there
are additional victims," the LAPD said in a written statement. "Price is believed to target minor age females."

It wasn't immediately clear which schools Prince worked at.

Price has black hair and brown eyes. He's 6-feet-tall and weighs 228 pounds.
